one word: COLIC

I'm going to stop starting every entry with an excuse or apology for not blogging in forever, I know you all know how long its been, and I hope you all know why it has been so long, I'm going to start letting it go and not make myself feel guilty for it starting........ now!

so our life for the past 2 weeks has been filled with one word: colic!
I know it technically just means a gassy baby but in real life it means a baby who is not quiet and peaceful unless you are holding/rocking/snuggling with him and even then its not always a sure thing. In real life it means sleeping in a recliner with him on your chest. In real life it means that you often have occurrences when 2 people in your house are crying at the same time when 2 people are about to lose it (the combinations of that one changes).

Geoff had all of last week off in between rocking his Army French test (one of the highest 2 scores) and the start of PsyOp training this week so we took the leave and enjoyed ourselves. We headed to Atlanta for 2 days to have a little "us" time, Grandma and Grandad babysat while we snuck away for a movie in the afternoon and a Melting Pot dinner at night! Then over the weekend we headed to Durham, had family pictures taken by Shannon, Geoff went to the UNC vs. GT game and then we headed out to dinner with 2 Army friends while mom babysat! we are so thankful for people who love us and our kids enough to give us some time without them! :o)

here are some happy sleeping baby shots because they seem extra precious now-a-days and lets be honest, nobody wants to see screaming babies

Awww, I see a little curl on the top of Carter's head, in the pic where you are holding him! So precious!!! And, when you are at the LOSE IT point, just breath deep and remember how fast these days go by, and you won't feel so bad (been there, done that with a sick Tommy)! You are doing great, and they will love you even if you just have to let them cry a minute or two!!!
