Introducing Glenda

With all of the ADORABLE tutu costumes going around the internet for Halloween I got tutu fever.

problem is, I got no one to tutu 'sept me and that ain't happenin' so I HAD to make Glenda!

she let me get my tutu on and I love her!

Want Glenda for yourself? here's what I did...

Got 4 years each of black and purple tulle

(.77 a yard at HobbyLobby)

Cut into 4 x 10ish strips

(so approximate it shouldn't even really count as measuring, that why I LOVE tulle)

Stacked 2 tulle pieces and then tied them around a circle

(I used a wreath form for mine and an embroidery hoop for a neighbor's)

repeat repeat repeat

Painted a canvas (this one is 10x10) and Hot-Glued it on

Cut some ribbon for her legs

(I added some more for her socks)

Cut out her shoes from a piece of foam board and VOILA!
