Today was a fun day at Fort Hood. Geoff's unit reflagged from being the 8-10 Squadron, 4th Brigade of the 4th Infantry Division to being the 1-9 Squadron, 4th brigade of the 1st Cavalry Division. It was a fun ceremony where they "case the colors" basically retire the old flags and then "uncase" the new ones. Lots of Pomp and circumstance but we had fun... even though it was FREEZING (we woke up to a dusting of snow this morning!)
Before you strain your eyes trying to find Geoff, he wasn't there. Since the guys leave Tuesday for JRTC, he was at the rail head loading their gear onto trains.
