I've heard over the past few days just how many of you there are checking this site to see if there are any baby updates... and for you all, all I can say is "nothing new to report!" I'm one week from the due date and except for the baby having "dropped" there isn't any progress. Geoff and I had fun looking up all of the old wives tales so we've eaten eggplant parmigian and spicy chinese, I've been eating pineapple and going for walks, even tried scrubbing the kitchen floor (though I'm sure that suggestion was just some husband's cruel way of getting his wife to clean when she was 10 months pregnant). We learned pressure points on the ankles and hands... and still no squiget~ guess this is one of those God things used to test our patience... and we officially have NONE!
Geoff left for the field today for the next 2-3 weeks so it'll be interesting to see what events really happen on D-Day (delivery). He's getting stormed on right now so I know he is eager for something to happen, 1) to get out of the field and rain and muck and 2) for 9 months of waiting to finally be over!

SMILE!! You have a fully developed human swimming around there just waiting to come out and be loved... I'm sure (s)he's just itching to meet you too!!
And let me know if you need a substitute birthing coach... I can fly down there to do it... and it would be fun... like when your teaher is out of school and the sub comes in, tosses the game plan to the wind, and you just dance around and have fun all day... just add squidget and the day would be perfect!! Love you!!!
Just so you know, we are all VERY excited for squidget. I went out of town this weekend and couldn't get to a computer. Greg got sick of me asking..."I wonder if squidget is here?" or saying
"Laura and Geoff could be having the baby NOW!"
I, personally, can't wait and I have told everybody that any of us have ever known...speaking of which...Lasher (my student teaching super from Eastern) says Congratulations and best of luck!
Love you both!
